Sadaharu Oh led his league in Home Runs 15 times, RBI 13 times and was a five-time Batting Champion. He won the Triple Crown twice in 1973 and 1974. He was a member of 20 All-Star teams and 11 World Championship teams. He also managed his team to two more World Championships. He was selected as his league's Most Valuable Player 9 times, in 1964, 1965, 1967, 1969, 1970, 1973, 1974, 1976 and 1977. He won 9 Gold Glove Awards and in 1994 he was elected to the Japanese Hall of Fame.
